We hold a montly ‘DoGood’ volunteer session (such as community gardening / litterpicking / food parcel creation). This is followed by a meeting where we discuss upcoming events & issues relating to the climate crisis

An event aimed at promoting locally produced food organised by Torfaen Council’s food resilience team, is the first of its kind in the borough and residents will get the chance to meet local producers.

Sunday 3rd March @ Fairhill Community Garden
We made a new community friendship and will now be supporting the lovely people at Fairhill Methodist Church, Cwmbran. with their community garden
Our next Do Good and meeting will take place Sunday 3rd March at 3pm. We will spend the first hour doing a garden blitz and then spend the next hour chatting about plans and events for the community garden.
The garden blitz will involve weeding, clearing beds and emptying compost bins. All you will need to bring are a pair of gardening gloves

DoGood: Food Parcel Making
6pm - 8:30pm Thursday 15th February 2024 @ Zero Waste Torfaen
We planned on doing an hour long litter pick around the local area, however the weather was not on our side. So instead we created an assembly line for food packs which you can pick up from zero waste torfaen (no questions asked).

Climate Action Torfaen recently hosted a hands-on sour kraut workshop, emphasizing sustainable practices and fostering community engagement, where participants learned about the environmental benefits of fermentation and enjoyed crafting their own tangy creations led by fermentation enthusiast Amelia.

We hosted a festive Christmas dinner party at the Queens Inn in Cwmbran featuring an entirely vegan menu, celebrating delicious plant-based cuisine and promoting sustainable dining options.

DoGood: Xmas Pud Making
5pm Sunday 22nd October 2023 @ Llanyrafon Church, Cwmbran
In collaboration with Tasty Not Wasty, we recently hosted a heartwarming Christmas pudding-making workshop at Llanyrafon Church, where participants came together to craft delicious puddings for an upcoming event aimed at spreading joy to the homeless and those feeling lonely on Christmas day, fostering a sense of community and the spirit of giving.
